Xilica
The Xilica Sonia series modernizes the audio systems installed for the network architectures common in today's meeting and learning spaces, and reinforces the proposal of complete solutions for corporate, educational and government clients.
Additionally, it includes the Sonia C5, a compact 5.25" ceiling speaker with a wide and uniform dispersion pattern that allows fewer speakers to be used in large spaces, such as classrooms and legislative chambers. Sonia C5 is powered by Xilica's new Sonia Amp, an amplifier with PoE+ and integrated network switch that can daisy-chain up to eight Sonia C5 speakers. With four individual channels, a Sonia Amp can also power the Sonia C5 speakers in four neighboring meeting rooms, resulting in additional cost savings and simplification of implementation.
Sonia Amp's built-in network switch features a PoE port suitable for servicing both power and Dante network audio to a set of ceiling-mounted microphones, such as the Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2, which creates a single CatX drop to the ceiling for a full room audio system. In addition, the standard-grade cable connectivity between Sonia Amp and Sonia C5 eliminates the need for traditional polarized speaker cable, power calculations and INSTALLATION practices typical of IT technicians.
For simplicity in installation, the Sonia C5 and Sonia Amp are Plenum rated and feature built-in mounting capabilities that allow Sonia Amp to be fixed to the back of a Sonia C5 speaker, eliminating the need for external amplification racks. It offers a removable, magnetic and fully paintable grid with detachable logo to integrate into any space and, when combined with Xilica Solaro DSPs, Xilica's new VoiceMatch technology optimizes room audio and acoustics to ensure high speech intelligibility.
