International. NEC Display Solutions has launched the MD212G3, a grayscale medical display for more accurate imaging diagnostics in X-rays, CT, MRI and other medical scenarios.
The three-megapixel, 21.3-inch display provides 10-bit grayscale reproduction and features a special anti-reflective coating that provides a detailed image for medical interpretation and diagnosis. In addition, the front sensor of the screen constantly monitors and regulates the brightness of the screen.
"Medical grayscale displays remain a vital part of the equipment for diagnostic interpretation and the 3-megapixel resolution, along with the reproduction of sharp images, helps ensure problem detection even at an early stage. This screen can play a key role in assessing major illnesses and injuries. It is essential to have the best image to detect the smallest indicators of disease and thus start treatment as soon as possible," says Erik Elbert, Product Engineer for Medical Display Solutions.
It incorporates GammaCompMD QA software that provides easy calibration, maintenance and quality assurance, ensuring accurate performance. The range of connectivity options such as displayPort and DVI-D, along with its ergonomic four-way stand, makes it easy for radiologists to read medical images.
Technically, the MD212G3 offers a 1400:1 contrast ratio, a native resolution of 2048x1536 and a calibrated brightness of 400 cd/m2. By having LED backlighting the screen uses less energy and is more efficient.
