Sennheiser launches online tutorial for filmmakers

Geert VerdicktInternational. The Sennheiser company teamed up with filmmaker Geert Verdickt to develop a series of video tutorials dedicated to the subject of audio for filmmakers, who seek to overcome the belief that the most underrated power of cinema is sound.

Oliver Ohrndorf, Professional Marketing Manager at Sennheiser, explained on the subject that "The video series is full of useful tips for every aspect of audio to video, ranging from everyday situations to especially difficult shooting environments."

In total there will be five episodes in which Geert Verdickt teaches filmmakers how to record a perfect sound for their videos, in a professional and entertaining way.

Topics covered in the tutorials include wireless audio recording, choosing the right microphone, recording with DSLR cameras and using cannon-type microphones, as well as tips and tricks to avoid the proximity effect and reduce wind noise.

Each tutorial gives participants a chance to win an attractive prize by answering a question about the topic. For each episode, there will be a chance to win three combinations of Sennheiser's new MKE 600 cannon-type microphone and classic headphones, the HD 25-II. The winners will be chosen from all the correct answers submitted.

Oliver Ohrndorf added that "the tutorials are aimed at television journalists, filmmakers and amateurs who want to enhance the images of their video with excellent sound. Geert Verdickt is not only an outstanding filmmaker but also an artist capable of inspiring and motivating his audience."

Since September 19, the publication of the tutorials began, which will continue every two weeks until the series is completed. To access them click here.
