A lighting intervention that includes the lighting of the courts and facades of the stadiums, to guarantee the quality of television in high definition and contribute to improving the visual experience of the players, spectators and viewers, will be implemented in the scenarios in which the Euro 2012 will be played.
In total there will be six stadiums intervened by the Philips company: the Donbass Arena, the MetalistKharkiv Arena Lviv, the stadium of the city of Poznan, the municipal stadium of Wroclaw and the Olympic stadium of Kiev. Two interventions have already been completed.
For the Kiev Olympic Stadium, the largest stadium in Ukraine, the installed system was tailor-made for 60,000 spectators, with a total of 608 Philips Arena Vision projectors, designed for sporting events, which combine functional and decorative solutions to create the "ring of fire" effect on the edge of the roof.
Another example is the stadium in Poznan, Poland, which distinguishes by its dynamic and colorful lighting on the exterior façade, using the LED system of 195 projectors. In addition to a control system and software, allowing dynamic changes in the color.
The projectors have an estimated duration of 50,000 hours and consume little energy, 55W per projector.
