Colombia. The Colombian audiovisual equipment and event production rental house, Iluminación Jaime Dussan, obtained the tender to work with the District Institute of the Arts, Idartes, and become the official supplier of all the associated production, including the sound systems, in the concerts that comprise the Festivals al Parque initiative.
As they have done on previous occasions, the company will use Bose Professional equipment for the sound of the outdoor venues where the events take place, particularly the linear arrangement of ShowMatch DeltaQ speakers.
Of great acceptance by the people of Bogota, Festivals to the Park are the result of a public policy to bring national and international music to the Colombian and Latin population through massive shows of high quality. With diversity and inclusion as banners, Idartes organizes multiple music festivals throughout the year, for different types of audiences. These are Rock to the Park, Colombia to the Park, Jazz to the Park, Hip Hop to the Park and Salsa to the Park, among others.
The participation of Iluminación Jaime Dussan with Idartes began a couple of weeks ago, during the realization of Colombia al Parque, a regional and folk music festival held in the Parque de los Novios, in Bogotá. There, the equipment used consisted of a Bose Professional ShowMatch DeltaQ system composed of 24 modules (12 on each side of the stage), as well as a ControlSpace ESP-1240 processor and 16 SMS118 subwoofers.
The next event of the series will be Rock al Parque, will be held from August 18 to 20 at the Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park in the Colombian capital, where ShowMatch will be present as the main PA of the Lake Stage, which will host artists of the stature of Kadavar (Germany), Lee Ronaldo Trio (USA), Alain Johannes Trio (Chile), Dancing Mood (Argentina), Antibalas (USA), Cattle Decapitation (USA) and Suffocation (USA), among others.
On this and other dates of the agenda, the sound production will be in charge of the technical team of Lighting Jaime Dussan, who with the support and support of Sound Republik, authorized distributor of Bose Profesional in Colombia, will assist the engineers of the participating bands in the set-up of the equipment, according to the needs and requirements of each exponent.
In Colombia, the ShowMatch DeltaQ team has accompanied Iluminación Jaime Dussan in several events, including El Aguinaldo Boyacense 2017, Manacacias Summer Festival 2018, Cachama Festival, and, recently, the San Pedro Festival in the city of Neiva; in Mexico, he has successfully participated in concerts of Inspector and La Maldita Vecindad at Carpa Astros, as well as cultural activities and special events.
