Audio-Technica Announced 6000 Series Handheld Transmitter

Latin America. Audio-Technica noted that the ATW-T6002x handheld transmitter for the 6000 series High Density wireless systems is now available, an efficient spectrum solution that allows users to package 31 channels in a 4 MHz bandwidth.

The ATW-T6002x handheld transmitter offers extremely low handling noise and features a metal body, excellent visibility OLED display, touch-sensitive controls and switchable RF power (2 mW/10 mW/50 mW). Its standard thread adapter allows the use of six new interchangeable A-T microphone capsules, as well as other compatible capsules.

The 2016 FCC Incentive Auction has resulted in redistribution of broadcast spectrum, which has reduced the spectrum available for wireless microphone operations and created the need for efficient spectrum technology to use a large number of simultaneous channels in today's market.

To address this problem, Audio-Technica developed the 6000 series, whose channels are located at intervals of 125 KHz and can all be used simultaneously. The system operates in the band 944-952 MHz, free of television broadcasts.

The FCC has expanded the licensing right, which in addition to broadcasting operators and content creators, now also includes sound companies and concert halls, which typically use 50 or more wireless microphones. The 6000 series system consists of the following components: the ATW-R6200S receiver, the ATW-T6001S pouch transmitter and the new ATW-T6002x handheld transmitter, an optional ATW-DA410 antenna distribution system and a series of compatible Audio-Technica lavalier and headband microphones.

Among the main features is the high-performance filtering to eliminate external noise; clear and easy-to-read panels; transmitter frequency settings from the receiver via infrared (IR) synchronization; network monitoring and control; Compact pouch transmitter with a new high-fidelity miniature input connector.
