Hitachi Vantara Modernizes Data Center Technology

Latin America. Digital transformation isn't just about being more efficient at what we normally do, it means renewing our approach. Digital transformation for the data center is focusing on business outcomes through the information and applications that support the customer. Companies don't care what infrastructure they have or what they have to do to manage it, as long as they get the service they expect.

This is not to suggest that infrastructure is not important. Rather, it needs to support a set of new and changing platforms and applications, and it needs to be more agile and flexible, leveraging the latest technologies to meet changing business requirements. Data is the fuel that drives digital transformation, and since data will survive the applications that created it and the technologies that store it, the choice of storage infrastructure becomes key.

In this context, Hitachi Vantara released several major additions and updates to its Data Center portfolio, "all designed to help our customers get the most out of their IT operations. This includes new additions to the renowned Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) line, as well as improvements to its artificial intelligence-enhanced analytics and automation software," said Marcelo Sales, Director of Architecture and Presales at Hitachi Vantara LATAM.

Introducing the industry's only storage family with 100% data availability guarantee and IT automation software with integrated AI, Hitachi Vantara enhances its position as a leader in enterprise storage and dramatically expands its ability to help customers modernize their data centers and move toward autonomous operations. "Strategically, these new offerings demonstrate our commitment to infrastructure to drive business value," adds Sales.

New VSP systems
Hitachi Vantara introduces a new line of its renowned VSP systems, which have up to three times more IOPS performance and superior ROI. Hitachi customers can now run more workloads faster from a single system, and eliminate data silos thanks to better support for cloud and containers.

The new VSPs are powered by the next generation of hitachi Storage Virtualization Operating System, SVOS RF, designed to scale up to 2.5x more, deliver 70% more IOPS per CPU for higher price/performance ratio, and deduplicate data up to 3.4x faster.
