Atlona launched switcher to power BYOD devices

Latin America. Atlona is already distributing the AT-UHD-SW-510W 5x1 universal switcher with wireless presentation capabilities. Cost-effectively supporting the broad movement of BYOD (bring your own device) devices across corporate, educational and other commercial AV environments, the SW-510W combines unprecedented input flexibility with powerful integration features; among them, automatic display control, automatic selection of input and outputs replicated HDMI® and HDBaseT™.

The SW-510W is now being distributed and will be showcased alongside Atlona's other control, collaboration and integration solutions during the company's 15th anniversary celebration at booth 5-U80 at ISE 2018, which will take place between February 6 and 9 in Amsterdam.

The innovative SW-510W simplifies system design, integration and operation by supporting wired and wireless AV connectivity in a single compact unit. For local wired sources, the new switcher features a DisplayPort and two HDMI inputs alongside a USB-C input for the latest models of Mac®, Chromebook™ and Windows® computers, and other USB-C equipped AV devices. In addition to providing greater value and convenience, the USB-C interface can also act as a charging station for laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

For wireless presentations, the SW-510W natively interacts with iOS®, Android™, Mac, Chromebook, and Windows devices over built-in Wi-Fi® capabilities, and offers screen replication without requiring app installation. The SW-510U can automatically switch between input sources based on connecting or disconnecting an AV device, wired or wireless, providing exceptional ease of use.

Those rich features include Automatic Display Control that similarly turns projectors and monitors on and off when wireless or wired sources are connected or disconnected, and Secure Wireless Access, protected by randomly generated or user-defined security authentication codes, which prevents unauthorized access or content sharing.

The SW-510W can be configured, managed and monitored remotely over a local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) or virtual private network (VPN) via the free network software platform Atlona Management System (AMS 2.0), and integrates seamlessly with Atlona's Velocity™ control system. The SW-510W includes Atlona's award-winning 10-year limited product warranty and customer support services, allowing integrators to specify, purchase and install the new switcher with confidence.
