Offering live streaming and video on demand, the new Moods "Digital Concert Club" is already becoming popular and now takes the concert experience to another level: Until the end of this year, around 20 concerts will be enjoyable with an Ambeo 3D audio. Here's what Sennheiser and Moods want to change with their partnership: Moods.digital is the world's first streaming platform to offer concerts with AMBEO 3D audio. With this immersive format, all the magic and charm of a jazz concert can now be displayed in the halls of those who subscribe.
"When recording jazz music, audio quality is a factor that enhances or breaks the listener's listening experience," said Claudio Cappellari, co-director of Moods. "Letting our online guests experience a live concert as if they were in a seat above the stage itself can only be possible thanks to Ambeo 3D's audio technology."

To enable audio recording at the highest level, Moods uses Sennheiser's "Ambeo for Binaural" solution. A dummy head (dummy head) KU 100 by Neumann that records the concert in the same way a listener would experience it. The dummy head is equipped with two high-quality microphones in its "ears", which capture the sound image in 3D. This binaural recording carries complete spatial and environmental information, which is then played back unadulterated for listening in standard stereo headphones.
On-stage microphones for mastered stereo mixing are used as spot microphones for each instrument. Its signals are mixed with the recording of the dummy head and placed spatially correctly with the help of Ambeo plug-ins.
