New line of Bose amplifiers available

Latin America. Bose Professional reported that one of its most recent releases, the new PowerShare line of adaptive power amplifiers, is available for worldwide marketing starting this week.

Comprised of three 1U models: two 2- and 4-channel fixed installation models (PS602 and PS604) and a portable 2-channel amplifier (PS602P), each PowerShare model offers 600W power that can be shared between all output channels.

PowerShare amplifiers fit a variety of applications, supporting high- and low-impedance loads of up to 100 V. Integrating configurable speaker processing and direct access to zone controllers will eliminate the need for an additional signal processor in many installations.

This innovative family offers high levels of reliability and outstanding audio performance, as it uses patented technologies, inherited from the renowned PowerMatch® line. All these functions and technological features make powerShare one of the most versatile high-performance amplifiers on the market today.

Bose's patented PowerShare technology supports the shared asymmetric use of all amplifier power across its various outputs. This innovation means that instead of selecting the power of the amplifier according to the needs of the larger area, installers now have a flexible option to use the full power of the amplifier in the application.

The result is greater flexibility in the first stage of the design or later, when making unplanned modifications to take advantage of the extra power in the same installation.

For applications that require additional signal processing, PowerShare Editor software offers real-time control and selection of Bose speaker equalizer settings, 9-band parametric equalizer, mixes, crossover, limiters, delay, mute/polarity output via a USB connection.

For basic configurations without using a PC, the back panel settings allow you to recover the equalization of the Bose speaker and its protection by output channel. These features eliminate the need for an external signal processor in many applications.

"When we introduced the PowerShare family of adaptive power amplifiers at the recent InfoComm Show 2016, we received great response and interest from integrators and system designers," said Ashraf Elghamrawi, product manager of the amplifier line at Bose Professional. "Due to the unique architecture of the PowerShare, the 600W can be fully leveraged through the outputs, offering full autonomy to the integrator to use the power where it is required."
