Aerolineas Argentinas switches to GE LED lights

Argentina. Aerolíneas Argentinas inspects its engines daily to ensure the safety of its passengers, so visibility is a crucial factor in ensuring that the team of engineers in charge can work effectively and efficiently.

"Ensuring the proper functioning of our fleet is an imperative for our company, our workshops are the heart of the operation and we are convinced that the modernization of the lighting system with GE LED technology will help us to be more productive and at the same time to reduce our energy consumption," said Engineer Mariano Sian, of Works and Services of Aerolineas Argentinas.

To carry out the relamping plan, GE Lighting installed 109 luminaires from the ALBEO ALC4 line, one of the most innovative and ideal for spaces that require high levels of lighting and have low ceilings. These types of bulbs are ideal due to their low glare rate.

Likewise, 36 daylight sensors or Daylight Sensors were installed, to obtain even more savings depending on the great contribution of outdoor natural light that the industrial warehouse has.

With the implementation of this plan, Aerolineas Argentinas will achieve a lighting level of 900 lux in its workshops, achieving 48% energy savings. The system also guarantees that the luminaires in the workshops can be maintenance-free for more than 12 years.

Today, GE Lighting can offer its customers the evolution of ALC4 with the new ALC5 version. The Albeo ALC5-series LED luminaire is efficient, with low maintenance than traditional fluorescent luminaires, both for the commercial and industrial sectors in low-bay lighting applications.

Compact and thin in design, the ALC5 delivers a life span of 100,000 hours and can deliver incredible continuous light flow. This luminaire can be implemented in operation, up to date and wirelessly to increase energy savings.
