Village Cinemas completes its digitalization with Christie

Argentina. Village Cinemas, one of the most important film chains in Argentina, has completed its digitization with projectors from the Christie Solaria Series. In this last phase of its digital cinema deployment, Village Cinemas has installed 38 projectors of the Christie CP2220 model, which means that most of the 79 theaters of this chain are equipped with Christie.

With 20 years of experience in the Argentine market, Village Cinemas currently has eight complexes and a total of 79 screens in different parts of the country. In 1996, he was the first exhibitor to inaugurate a multi-screen complex in Argentina, the Village Mendoza, with a capacity of 2,346 seats and 10 movie theaters.

Today, the company is characterized by betting on state-of-the-art technology to differentiate itself from its competition, and has developed exclusive innovations such as rooms with Seats of the Love Seat type (movable armrests), the Wide Screen system (wall-to-wall screens), the Full Stadium concept of seats that guarantees the total view of the screen from any location, and the Monster Screen rooms with giant screens and Dolby Atmos sound.

"In the first phase of digitization of our rooms we had already installed Christie equipment and precisely the good experience we had at that time was a decisive factor in choosing this brand again," says Diego Bachiller, commercial manager of Village Cinemas.

Juan Carlos Chávez, director of Christie in Latin America, points out: "We are very pleased that a chain as prestigious as Village Cinemas has opted for our DLP Cinema® projectors of the Christie Solaria Series."

Village Cinemas has also acquired two units of the Christie ACT automated control solution for cinemas. It is a powerful and flexible web-based system that has been conceived to provide total control of all the functions of a room (light attenuators, masking motors, audio levels, projectors, servers ...) from any device with access to the web on the same network.

But in addition, village cinemas have recently attended a demonstration of Christie Vive Audio and have been delighted with this sound system for movie theaters.
