Ricoh celebrates 10 years of the Eco Action program

Latin America. From the first of June, and throughout the month, the Ricoh Group celebrates the 'Ricoh Global Eco Action Month'. Within the framework of this initiative, the company organizes the special event 'Ricoh Global Eco Action 2015', with which it encourages the Group's workers to become aware of the environment and carry out ecological actions.

'Ricoh Global Eco Action' started in 2006, and is organised every year with the aim of boosting ecological awareness and improving the quality of environmental management. This year, the tenth edition of the event is celebrated.

The Ricoh Group promotes sustainable environmental management at a global level, always based on the national character, differences in awareness and other aspects of each region of the world. Many people have been invited to participate in this ecological action. During these 10 years, the network of participants has expanded from workers to relatives, friends and customers; the programme of actions has evolved in several directions.

The theme for this year's event is "Sharing the 'Ecological Mind' Together". An event will be held with nearly 110,000 Ricoh Group workers from around the world, in Japan, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas. In addition to taking advantage of any opportunity to encourage participation in the activities and share information through different means, the aim is to join forces with workers, families, friends, locals and customers to deploy the scope of this ecological action on an even greater scale.
