Integration of AVI SPL and Encore goes by 95%

Mexico. One of the most notorious businesses during 2014 was the acquisition of AVI SPL in Mexico by the North American company Encore. AVI LATIOAMÉRICA spoke with Salvador Bernal, vice president of Encore in Mexico, who told details of how the integration process is going and the company's plans for 2015.

"The integration of both companies is at 95%. We have implemented internal change, processes and image. Internally the staff has taken it very well, a situation that has facilitated the process. We hope that in two months we will be with the process 100%," said Salvador Bernal.

And it is that to the experience of AVI SPL and the 100 hotels in which it provides in-house services, is added that of Encore, which manages about 200 hotels in the United States and Canada.

In addition, Salvador Bernal pointed out that one of the advantages for customers in Mexico is that they began to implement the solutions developed by Encore for their rental services. He gave as an example an application that allows to provide attendees to the events with detailed and updated information about the event and the resort / hotel where it is held.

On the expectations after the integration, he stressed that Encore officially began operations in Mexico on the first of January 2015 and expects sales to grow by 20% this year compared to 2014, in addition to planning a strong investment in equipment and expansion to new hotels and resorts.

This means that of the nearly 7,000 events held in 2014, they expect to rise to 8,500 in 2015, in part, thanks to the interest of international organizations that have set their eyes on Mexico to hold their conventions.

Finally, he mentioned that the AV integration division that AVI SPL had in Mexico, which is equivalent to 20% of the company's revenue, will continue and become the first Encore office that will have integration services and they expect it to grow to 25%.
