Unisys opens Global Innovation Center in Colombia

Colombia. Unisys Corporatione announced the opening of the Global Innovation Center in Bogota, Colombia. This center will be focused on designing specialized and tailored IT solutions for Unisys customers around the world. In addition, it will be the second Center of its kind that Unisys implements worldwide, complementing the first facility that is located in India.

Highly skilled solution architects will be responsible for designing and delivering specialized IT services that will enable global enterprises to take on their most critical business challenges and improve the end-user experience for their employees, partners and customers.

From April, this Center will be able to export knowledge and support business in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Pacific and Latin America. Unisys expects an expansion of this center that will include hiring software professionals focused on security and data center solutions. The company's plans call for at least 20 professionals developing solutions by the end of 2015.

"Colombia is a perfect location to establish another innovation center to develop new solutions that address the most critical technology needs of our global customers. In addition, Colombia has one of the highest rates of solution penetration due to its many innovative and demanding customers who are looking for emerging services and technologies that can benefit their business every day," says Dan Huberty, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Unisys' Enterprise Solutions unit.
