The Electronic Equipment Consumers Association (CEA) awarded the company 15 of its 2010 International CES Innovations Awards for its design and technology.LG's products were evaluated in different aspects and obtained recognition in the categories of HD LCD, LED LCD and plasma televisions; Network Blu-ray players and home theater systems; mobile phones, household appliances and network data storage devices.
By 2010, the company expects to increase its leadership in TV sales worldwide and reach 25 million units sold this year, 8.8 million more than it did in 2009 sales.
LG also aims to increase its share of the global TV market from 11 to 15 percent by 2011 because it will offer about 29 million devices, most of them LCDs.
LG's purposes are specifically focused on the commercial operations they carry out in the Middle East and South American markets, in addition to launching new TV lines such as the Infinia HDTV, which provides better resolution and consumes less power.
