The in wall speakers have been standing out for their versatility and their ability to adapt to any type of space. That is why they are ideal for commercial establishments, restaurants and nightclubs in which performance and impact play a leading role. Among the advantages offered by this type of solutions is that they have a wider reproduction range at high and low frequencies and compared to ceiling speakers, they have better coverage and allow a more homogeneous sound field behavior.
In Latin America, the growth of in wall speakers has gone hand in hand with the positioning acquired by flat screens and home theaters. But although the market has been growing gradually, there are still some circumstances that have prevented the growth from being even greater, as is the case of the materials used in construction.
In the case of our region, it is very common for brick and concrete to be almost always present in buildings, which substantially complicates the installation process of this equipment. Carlos Guerra, sales manager for Latin America of SpeakerCraft referred to this aspect when he pointed out that "outside the United States the implementation of in wall speakers is in its infancy, for now you only have a minimum percentage of the market; when Architects and Latino users begin to know more about this technology, the market in the region will grow" and added that in our countries a process of dissemination and adaptation to these equipment is being lived.
