United States. The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has opened registration for the 42nd edition of the international CES event, the world's largest consumer technology trade show. The 2009 International CES will be held January 8-11, 2009, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Registrations can be made through the CESweb.org site, and the relevant information can be consulted at: registration.experient-inc.com/ShowCES091/Default.aspx. This is the launch for consumer technology and is the only industry-only trade show, closed to the public. With 2,200 members, the association is the leading association promoting growth in the U.S. electronics industry, with sales of US$161 billion annually.
