This resource also made it possible to simplify the stage preparation time by showing the props staff the arrangement of previous concerts in other places. The Fusion F2, with 640GB of memory on two hard drives protected by an aluminum case the size of two CD boxes, allowed the band and staff to record the concerts, edit the daily recordings and review the images for publication and transmission in world media during the intense travel schedule, with the help of a MacBook Pro. The system offers speed, reliability and convenience for on-site video capture or for remote use when there is no power. Power is taken from a Computer's FireWire® port and data transfer is done using a SATA server controller. 11 of these systems were used by the group to carry the equivalent of a portable studio on the same plane where all band members and their support staff travel.
