InfoComm 2008, a stage for innovations

Between June 18 and 20, a new version of InfoComm will be held, the exhibition that brings together the most recognized manufacturers and producers of technology for the audio, video and lighting industries. There are many solutions that will be exhibited at this convention, and among them it is worth highlighting the QuadView HD, introduced to the market by RGB Spectrum. Such a device is a smart image processor for applications that require the arrangement of multiple images on a single monitor or projector.

Technically speaking, the QuadView HD offers remarkable image processing, ensures image quality, Internet-based control, dynamic control for window size, and title capability, among other features.

Another manufacturer that will be present with multiple innovations is Gefen, who has announced the presentation of several solutions, among which the HDMI over RGB transceiver system stands out, which allows video systems that use 5BNC cabling to update both the audio/video source and the screen or projector to the expanded HDMI v 1.3 format, leaving the ducts intact. In addition to this device, Gefen will be exhibiting solutions such as the Gefen TV Scaler Pro and an 8X8 DVI array .

But not only Will InfoComm present technological solutions, but there will also be space for education and training. In addition to the extensive program that InfoComm International will offer, other institutions will also be making their contribution to improve the qualification of the industry.

Among these institutions and companies can be mentioned Furman, who will be offering an educational session on the management of alternating current (AC power) for audio and video professionals. The session will be in charge of Christos Desalernos, manager of domestic sales of that institution.

For those who are interested in this session, which will be taught in English, they should go to the training room number 3 (MT3), at 10:30 am, on Friday, June 20.

According to Furman sources, Desalernos will discuss the reduction of noise in alternating current, suppression of the sudden increase in transient voltage, voltage regulation and the development of backups for the battery, in addition to how the latest technology in alternating current management can increase the performance of audio/video systems.

The presentation will include a demonstration of Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT); the training will be followed by a half-hour question-and-answer session.

AVI LATINOMÉRICA will be present at this renowned exhibition, so it extends an invitation to all its readers to participate in perhaps the most important event of the year for those who are dedicated to the integration of A / V and lighting.
