Shure Introduces New Recording Receivers

Ruben alvarez shure

Latin America. At the NAMM Show, Shure introduced new high-quality wireless receivers for broadcast and audio recording for video.

Rubén Álvarez told details of these launches to AVI Latin America. "First of these is a portable receiver from the SLXD family, one of our families of wireless systems, called SLXD5. It is an ideal receiver for cameras, audio generation for video, for broadcast, more for making field sound. Another release is the SLXD3, a transmitter that helps convert any dynamic microphone or even condenser microphone to wireless."

He added that "Personally, I think that for Latin America they are products that were asked a lot, they come to reinforce this market for the audiovisual world. Now, with content generation, it's an ideal product. It comes excellent, at a very good cost, the technical characteristics fit very well. For example, what has to do with radio frequency, bandwidths, sound quality that we are obviously never going to sacrifice, meets all expectations."

These products are designed for people who make sound for cinema, or people who make televisions, or who record content even for social issues, creativity here is the limit, imagination. "Why? It is a portable receiver that uses two batteries, and can be adapted to different needs. It actually makes the job easier for a lot of people who are in the field and capturing sound in the street, so to speak," said Rubén Álvarez.

Shure also introduced a new receiver in its Axien Digital family, the ADX3, which is designed for situations that require a frequency change or remote adjustment, which can be done remotely or automatically. It incorporates a Show Link function, which allows two-way communication. The transmitter is sending its audio, but you can send control signals to it to learn, turn off, change frequency, etc.

Finally, he highlighted the presence of Latinos in this version of the NAMM Show. He noted that he had meetings with people from Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

"The truth is, I'm very happy because there's a lot of Latino presence here. Last year was a very good one for the industry, especially entertainment. There were many events, festivals, concerts, musicals, etc. We think this year is going to be similar, if not more so, which means we have to be well connected to the market."
