Beyerdynamic celebrates 100 years on the market in 2024

Latin America. The German manufacturer Beyerdynamic, celebrates its 100 years in the market in 2024, providing professional audio solutions for different sectors.

AVI Latin America spoke with Ignacio Arcos, commercial manager of Navits, Beyerdynamic's representative in Mexico, who highlighted that the company has been preparing for this celebration for five years, when it renewed its logo and at NAMM they launched a new commemorative equipment.

"The brand was founded in 1924 making dynamic microphones, then migrated to making hearing aids, which today is the reason why many people know Beyerdynamic. And that's why the brand is releasing a new hearing aid, which is the DT770 Pro X, to celebrate these 100 years. This headset is a hybrid between the classic 770 Pro and the 700 Pro X," he said.

He added that in recent years the brand has been transformed significantly, with new team launches, rebranding and its new logo, and throughout this year, they will have different activities and commemorative promotions for the 100 years of the brand.

Among them, he pointed out the launch of the M-Series recording studio microphones, a product that was already on the market, to which he made a makeover, adapted to the new logo, without sonically touching the equipment, so as not to affect users who prefer it.

"Beyerdynamic is focused on reinventing itself on the visual side, the color orange is now predominant. But the technology has not changed, in the catalog there are still high-quality microphones used by bands such as the Beatles or Led Zeppelin. They are microphones that have been around for a long time and that the brand has sought to give a fresher, more current focus to today," explained Ignacio Arcos.

Finally, at the end of 2023, he highlighted that in the case of Mexico there were very good numbers. "But, beyond that, the most important thing, is that people locate the brand, that people say, ah, well, I want some headphones and think of Beyerdynamic, I want a microphone and think of Beyerdynamic, think more of Beyerdynamic than maybe they thought before. I think that's growing in the region. It's growing in the world."
