ACT Entertainment Acquires tvONE

ACT Entertainment

Latin America. ACT Entertainment continues to expand its reach in the AV technology sector with the acquisition of tvONE, a video processing, signal distribution, and media playback solutions company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Among its brands is the Green Hippo line of media servers and digital display products, which tvONE acquired in 2018.

The acquisition marks the first foray into video equipment for ACT Entertainment, a manufacturer and distributor of products for the entertainment industry. Since 2017, the company has completed multiple acquisitions to incorporate RapcoHorizon, AC Power Distribution and other industry-leading brands under the ACT Entertainment brand.

"We are pleased to announce the acquisition of tvONE, which continues to build on ACT's mission to provide tools to help our clients realize their creative vision. tvONE is known for its exciting and cutting-edge product lines, and we know that our customers will be happy to have access to them to provide more efficient end-to-end solutions for their projects. It's been fantastic to get to know David (Reynaga) and Andy (Fliss), and I look forward to working alongside the fantastic teams they've formed," said Ben Saltzman, CEO of ACT Entertainment.

After more than 35 years in the audiovisual industry, tvONE has a proven track record in developing innovative solutions that deliver exceptional experiences; manufacture ingenious, high-quality products for video processing, signal management, and shelving; and provide world-class customer service across a wide range of vertical markets. tvONE is a US-based company with R+D and manufacturing in the UK.

"We are thrilled with our partnership with ACT, a powerful and respected company at the center of live production, our largest market," says Andy Fliss, president of tvONE. "The reach that ACT has established in live events will be a boon to our product lines. ACT's breadth and depth in providing end-to-end solutions and systems integration will further enable all of our customers in their work."

tvONE's existing management and structure will remain in place after the acquisition. "We already have a great relationship with Ben and look forward to working with him and everyone on the ACT team," says Fliss.

ACT's acquisition of the tvONE video product line follows the company's recent move into the audio sector with the distribution of PK Sound's robotic line array systems. PK Sound joined ACT's extensive list of brands distributed exclusively to customers in North America, including Ayrton and Robert Juliat lighting, MA Lighting, AC Power Distribution, MDG atmospheric generators and zactrack automated tracking systems.
