Atlona appoints Syscom as distributor in Mexico

atlona, syscom

Mexico. Atlona reached a distribution alliance with Syscom, with which it plans to expand its coverage in the Mexican territory and increase by more than 30% the attraction of new users, as well as support small and medium-sized companies in the country in the implementation of audio and video solutions over IP.

And, according to the company specializing in audio and video, in recent years there has been a remarkable interest in video collaboration and AV solutions over IP, in different sectors and in companies of all sizes, from offices and educational centers to retail and manufacturing floors. In 2022 alone, according to internal data from Panduit, there was a 50% increase in the request for information about VA systems by educational institutions.

"Having the right information and specialists who know the new trends, solutions and needs of the market is key to carrying out projects that involve collaboration, audio and video solutions over IP. However, in most SMEs and even in large companies, there is no specialized area in this area, so this alliance seeks to provide the necessary advice and support so that any organization can develop these projects correctly, "says Mauricio Escobar, Atlona's channel account manager for the Caribbean and Latin America.

Data from the survey "Digitalization of SMEs and entrepreneurship in Mexico: findings, challenges and scope 2021" of CONTPAQi, revealed that only 37% of the businesses that participated in the survey, began to overcome the fear of approaching technology; While 84% said they would hold remote meetings, 72% would continue with online training and 60% with home office.

In a country where, according to the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO), SMEs occupy a key place in the economy by being 99.8% of companies, in addition to generating 72% of jobs and 52% of GDP. Ensuring the continuity of their businesses through technology and providing them with the right tools and consultation to carry out their digital transformation objectives is fundamental and is part of the objectives of the strategic alliance of Atlona and Syscom.

Audio and video over IP for the entire Mexican territory in record time.
Through the 21 branches of Syscom, strategically located in the national territory, Atlona and the global distributor, seek to impact the different sectors of the country, mainly, in this first phase, education and hospitality. In addition, to strengthen and extend the presence among integrators of the audio and video niche, collaboration and IP telephony, as well as those of structured cabling.

"The idea is to provide a professional solution to our customers to explore this niche market that is collaboration and smart rooms. We believe that they can have a great benefit, since we will deliver a high quality product, easy to configure and with wide availability through our distribution network. We expect significant growth this year thanks to this new product line," says David Espinoza, engineering manager at Syscom.

On the other hand, one of the benefits that will be granted to integrators and end users will be the optimization of delivery times, which will be shorter and with a more dynamic response, since there will be greater availability of inventory and the ability to build an architecture and solution on site.

"The specialization of the channel is fundamental, in addition to a good coverage in the market of AV solutions. With Syscom, which is one of the largest distributors, we have the mission of being able to grant this specialization in the implementation of audio and video solutions throughout the Mexican territory, "says Escobar.

Through this alliance, Atlona will have a period of training and certifications in the country starting in Mexico City, Tijuana, among other states of the republic, which will provide the necessary tools and knowledge to the integration channel to implement efficient projects tailored to the requirements of any organization.
