Christie launches three new high-efficiency RGB projectors

christie

Latin America. Christie launched three new cinema projectors aimed at small and medium-sized cinemas. Equipped with Royal lighting| Laser, the CP2415-RGB and CP2420-RGB models of the Christie Cinelife+ Series offer very high energy efficiency and the lowest operating cost in their brightness level of the entire sector, while the CP2415-Xe, with reliable xenon lighting, ensures the lowest total cost of ownership for rooms with screens of 17.6 meters wide.

With powers of 15,000 lumens, the CP2415-RGB and CP2415-Xe projectors give small screen rooms the possibility of opting for Real lighting| Laser, or by the Xenolite Ultimate Performance lamps (high performance), two technological solutions endorsed by the most advanced electronic platform for cinema, Real lighting technology| Laser CineLife+, which gives the exhibitor the opportunity to surprise the public with extraordinary image quality, which exceeds 95% of the Rec.2020 color gamut and with a contrast ratio of up to 6,000:1 with a UHC lens.

The two new pure laser RGB projectors replace previous 2K models and already stand out among the best in the industry in terms of operational efficiency, with energy savings 27% higher than competing models1.

"Our new pure laser RGB projectors are more energy efficient than any of their equivalents on the market, something we are very proud of," said Allan Fernandes, director of film product management at Christie. "Faced with the continued escalation of energy costs, Christie has decided to scale its response by putting more sustainable and energy-efficient products at the service of our customers."

- The CP2420-RGB provides up to 20,000 lumens, leading the industry with 12.9 lumens per watt
- CP2415-Xe provides up to 15,000 lumens

In addition, Christie has updated two of its PLF 4K models:
- CP4445-RGB provides up to 47,000 lumens
- CP4455-RGB provides up to 57,000 lumens

The new RGB models of pure laser of the Christie Cinelife + Series are projectors of very high efficiency, with ultra-fast processing electronics of series 4, and with Real lighting| Laser. The goal is to offer a premium experience to moviegoers by setting a new standard for image quality, with a wider color gamut and better contrast than any of the lighting technologies on the market. The advanced electronic upgrade includes ECC (Electronic Color Convergence), enabling seamless color alignment on the 2K cinema platform, as well as Remote UI to securely control the projector with a web browser, eliminating the need to operate with a panel touch controller.
