NBA Arena installs 70 million pixel LED display

absen, nba

International. LED display manufacturer Absen and Revel Media Group partnered with Salt Lake City's Vivint Arena to install new Absen LED displays inside the arena ahead of the 2022/2023 NBA National Basketball Association regular season.

Vivint Arena is home to the NBA's Utah Jazz and title contenders have taken advantage of their new home advantage to start the season with as much resolution as the new update to their arena's interior screen.

The company was founded in 2010 by Brian Fitzpatrick and Matt Dopp. Revel Media Group specializes in digital signage, LED installation, and a cloud-based content creation and delivery system.

Revel Media Group completed the installation on time and on budget under the watchful eye of project coordinator, Vivint Arena. Group co-founder Brian Fitzpatrick said the installation at Vivint Arena, which incorporates more than 70 million pixels, is "... truly unique and will be a first in any American stadium."

Absen's Director of Sales Engineering, Western Region, Kobe Xiao, commented: "Absen is delighted to be participating in such a spectacular and historic sports facility where Absen's products add so much to the gaming experience with more pixels than any other stadium seen so far. the United States."

The installation encompasses upper and lower ribbons fixed to the seating gallery, the screen hung in the center that includes side and baseline boards, trapezoidal corners and the lower screens, as well as auxiliary boards that serve the side of the court. Absen supplied the N4 Plus series LED product that Revel Media Group specified at all times for installation.

absen, nbaThe center of the visual experience for Utah Jazz fans attending is the vast display system hung in the center with its approx. 40-foot x 24-foot side video screens and two annotation zone displays measuring 25.5 feet x 20 feet. The display experience is maximized with four additional trapezoidal corner screens and viewing extends further across the four bottom screen boards, each measuring approx. 17 feet x 10 feet. The top and bottom ribbons also create the WOW factors for the audience, with 1733 panels and over 820 feet long, which is equivalent to 3 football fields around the entire stadium.

Absen's NPlus LED display provides an excellent viewing experience for fans present. With content ranging from live play and instant replays to sponsorship messages and game stats, fans enjoy the excellent visual performance of a 4mm pixel pitch display on every visual surface, from the ribbon screens to the four 825-square-foot corner screens.

Visual excellence also extends to the smaller courtside and in-entrance displays, where the lightweight and slim design of Absen's noise-free N4Plus modules creates a sleek finish with a depth of just 54mm.

In addition to the excellent visual performance of the N4Plus, the intelligent modules individually store, among a large number of other important data, the calibration detail, which is automatically read when any module is replaced. The intelligent nature of the modules adds to the ease and speed of maintenance that can be addressed from the front or rear.
