"TecnoMultimedia Mexico was a pleasant surprise"

julio reséndiz, gilsama

Mexico. The last two years forced all companies to adapt to the new reality to continue operating, looking for the solutions required to address the current situation. That was the case with Mexican distributor Gilsama.

Julio Reséndiz, CEO of Gilsama, told AVI Latinoamérica that "Fortunately, the brands we distribute, specifically Sennheiser, offer many solutions for videoconferencing, which was a boom since the pandemic. We have excellent quality ceiling microphones, wireless, and intelligent speaker solutions, which have never stopped purchase orders or customer needs."

And although this market recovery has been affected by the shortage of products that the technology industry is experiencing, Julio Reséndiz indicated that with Sennheiser they do not have any type of delays, thanks to the logistics they have had in the factory, having delivery times of maximum six weeks.

"Also, our effort as distributors, because we have made a lot of investment from product to stock and inventory to be able to exceed those immediate needs, even winning projects that were specified with other brands," he said.

Gilsama participated in the recent version of TecnoMultimedia Mexico, with Sennheiser. In this regard, Julio Reséndiz pointed out that "After two years of not having physical contact with customers, the fair was a long-awaited return. We had low expectations, because we believed that many customers still did not have the willingness to go to a fair and live together, but it has been a pleasant surprise, because we have had the opportunity to greet old friends, acquaintances, distributors, colleagues, even the competition and new customers who had not arrived at other fairs. We are very happy with the fair."
