Snap One acquires Clare Controls

snap one

Latin America. The manufacturer of security systems and smart home Clare Controls, has been acquired by the company Snap One, a step taken by both companies after having signed an exclusive distribution agreement in 2019.

The ClareOne system has become an option for Snap One partners, providing a hybrid security and smart home solution for entry-to-mid-level applications.

mike jordan, snap oneAccording to Mike Jordan, Snap One's senior vice president of control and entertainment, ClareOne is a cornerstone in Snap One's broader strategy, filling the gap between commonly available security systems and luxury whole-home control solutions.

"ClareOne has become a favorite among our partners because it provides professionally monitored security along with easy-to-deploy smart home integrations," Jordan said. "The combined capabilities allow security-focused homeowners to immerse themselves in smart living solutions and provide a clear upgrade path to building a fully connected home through seamless integration with hundreds of devices, including the powerful Control4 system."

ClareOne is the centerpiece of the Clare Controls platform and provides many common features, including a broad integration portfolio and rich configuration options. ClareOne offers these professional capabilities in a cost-effective solution, allowing partners to easily differentiate their offerings from DIY solutions.

Clare Controls CEO and founder Brett Price noted that snap One's acquisition cements ClareOne as a vital part of an integrator's toolkit and reaffirms the value and power the solution brings to users.

In a great help to partners, Clare Controls also offers cost-effective peripherals, such as the new Line of ClareVision security cameras, which offers valuable features such as motion detection and Starlight software to improve low-light lighting. Another of ClareOne's distinctive benefits is the flexible monthly fee structure that allows Snap One partners to differentiate their service with a recurring monthly revenue model, starting with no-charge smart home features and levels of self-control or professional supervision at half the price of competitors.
