Jorge Cañete joins the Airport Gurus team

Latin America. After his experience in the technological adaptation of the airport of Santiago de Chile, Jorge Cañete was linked in recent weeks to the company Airport Gurus, based in Madrid, Spain.

He explained to AVI Latin America that "My role is the development of business worldwide, with a strong presence in Latin America and with a special focus on the USA, since it is a country with many possibilities for business and airport development and that AG does not yet have a presence. I will be constantly looking for opportunities and talking with different airports to be able to support with what we know how to do, apply technology to day-to-day operations."

Currently, Airport Gurus has an office in Lima and with active projects in Peru and Mexico. In addition, as an experience, they have projects executed in Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Panama and Honduras.

On Airport Gurus' recent projects in the region, Jorge Cañete noted that at Jorge Chaves International Airport in Lima, Peru, the company was responsible for the design of airport technologies within the global design consulting team.

"Airport Gurus brings its extensive knowledge and experience in projects of design, specification and integration of airport technology systems, safety management systems and regulatory compliance to provide a complete service aligning stakeholder needs, existing regulation and best practices."

Another project was the international airport of Mexico City, where Airport Gurus was responsible for developing the necessary specifications for the improvement and updating of the airport's operational systems, as well as the deployment, start-up and coordination of the integration of all the technological infrastructure and its adaptation to the new processes to be implemented in the new Airport Operations Center.

Airport Gurus is a consultancy specialized in airport business, operations and information and communication technologies, with extensive international experience. Its mission is to support airports to have sustainable growth and generate business value, through the excellence of operations and its associated technology. They are based in Spain, but with projects all over the world.
