Cisco introduced solutions in simple and intelligent networks

cisco

Latin America. Cisco presented its vision to enable IT teams to work smarter and simplify their operations with new innovations in cloud-managed networking and unified technology experiences.

The current business context is predictably unpredictable. Organizations rely on digital experiences to keep their workers productive and ensure they exceed customer and partner expectations. To create agility and resiliency in the business, IT teams need unified solutions that match a company's technologies, locations, equipment, and devices.

The challenge is that IT environments have become overwhelmingly complex, and user expectations are higher than ever. The connections on which companies depend have multiplied in number and diversity. This has resulted in a network and overall IT experience that is more fragmented, less secure, and increasingly difficult to scale. To address the growing complexity, Cisco is delivering a more unified IT experience through intelligent cloud-based platforms.

Cisco enables unified IT
At Cisco Live, the premier networking and security event, Cisco unveiled new cloud management capabilities that provide a unified experience across the Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus portfolios and a new Cisco ThousandEyes product to proactively forecast and optimize WAN performance. These innovations highlight Cisco's strategy to provide customers with the agility, resiliency and productivity their businesses need to thrive in the face of unpredictability through the power of cloud-managed platforms.

"Our customers choose to run their businesses with Cisco technology because we stand at the intersection of networking, security and the cloud," said Todd Nightingale, executive vice president and general manager, Cisco Enterprise Networking & Cloud. "We believe that the network is the foundation of the modern enterprise and should deliver agility through simplicity. Cisco is addressing our customers' most important concern, which is managing complexity through intelligent, data-driven platforms that power a digital business."

The future is in the cloud
Cisco is advancing its network platforms so customers can make a secure, logical, and seamless transition to more cloud-based operating models.
● With Cloud Management for Cisco Catalyst, customers can now monitor select Catalyst Switches and manage select Catalyst Wireless devices through the Meraki dashboard, bringing greater visibility and flexibility to the customer experience. Campus and branch network customers can now simplify their IT operations by combining the best of cloud management with the best of networking hardware.
● Launched Cisco Nexus Cloud, an as-a-service cloud-managed platform that provides the easiest way to deploy, manage and operate the cloud network. Powered by Cisco Intersight, which delivers best-in-class switching and multi-cloud management, Cisco Nexus Cloud will expand customers' ability to manage public cloud, private cloud, and edge computing environments of any size or scale. Cisco Nexus Cloud availability is planned for fall 2022.

A predictive future
Today's driving superior digital experiences is more important than ever. Bad customer or employee experiences leave lasting and harmful traces. IT teams need access to solutions that allow them to stop reacting to network issues and be proactive in preventing problems from impacting their business.

Customers can now take advantage of Cisco's advances in predictive networking through Cisco ThousandEyes, the industry's leading Internet and cloud intelligence platform. ThousandEyes WAN Insights is the first step in Cisco Predictive Networks' goal, enabling enterprise IT to move from a reactive to a preventative network, improving operational efficiency and ensuring the application experience. ThousandEyes WAN Insights will soon proactively alert IT teams to issues before they occur and impact the user experience, providing policy recommendations and guidance for route optimization. Along with ThousandEyes' unmatched vision for Internet health and behavior, the addition of ThousandEyes WAN Insights helps empower customers to maximize their Internet- and cloud-centric environments and deliver seamless digital experiences.
