AVIXA launched the AV Experience Awards

International. In order to recognize innovation in the integration of technology, spaces and content that enrich audiovisual experiences, AVIXA (The Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association) has launched the international competition program AV Experience Awards, in which six different categories ranging from art in motion or collaborative work will be awarded, to multi-sensory experiences.

The goal of the AV Experience Awards is to celebrate the ability of AV professionals to expand human capabilities, or to excite, inspire or enhance an experience in diverse markets and industries. The different categories of the program show how a well-conceived design and a careful execution can achieve the different objectives of an audiovisual project.

With a presence in more than 80 countries, AVIXA is the association that brings together and represents professionals in the audiovisual industry. Its more than 11,400 members include audiovisual solution integrators, content creators, event producers, distributors and technology manufacturers. Its functions range from the development of the industry and its link with other sectors, to the training of its members, which is why a program such as the AV Experience Awards represents an initiative that comes to strengthen its work worldwide.

"Audiovisual technology has the power to improve the way we experience the world around us, from how we shop, bank, enjoy sporting events, check into hotels and much more," said Dan Goldstein, Chief Marketing Officer at AVIXA. "We created the AV Experience Awards to recognize the extraordinary and diverse ways in which professionals design and apply audiovisual technology in a wide variety of environments and market sectors."

The call for the AV Experience Awards is not only open to members of the audiovisual industry, it is also invited to professionals and users from other industries and markets, such as multimedia artists, designers, architects, engineers and any other creative who develops audiovisual experience projects. Participation in the AV Experience Awards is free and you can register any project that has been completed and executed between January 1, 2018 and February 5, 2020, within the following six categories:

Best Art in Motion Experience: Celebrates the use of audiovisual technology within art, whether it's to surprise the audience, create a centerpiece in a cultural showcase, energize people, revitalize a functional space, or display information in a stimulating way.
Best In-Person Experience: Recognizes the strategic use of audio-visual elements to motivate potential attendees to go out into the real world to experience something they can't see, do, or feel anywhere else. These are unique experiences, typically temporary or of limited time that must be physically attended to live them.

Best Individualized Experience: Highlights applications where technology creates personalized experiences. For example, the individualized greeting for the guest of a hotel through digital media in their room, digital signage in a store that modifies its content based on the demographics of visitors or a university classroom where technology responds to the particular settings of a professor.

Best Immersive Experience: Recognizes projects with illusory or simulated environments that envelop people in a multi-sensory experience through the combination of the use of content, space and technology.

Best Flexible Space Experience: In this category, the jury looks for audiovisual solutions that contribute to creating multipurpose spaces that are constantly changing, adapt in a simple way and facilitate the activities that occur within them.

Best Collaborative Work Experience: Look for the best audiovisual applications that bring people as close as possible through technology, to communicate and share, when they can not be gathered face to face and in a real way.

Projects can be registered for the AV Experience Awards, through this link, by anyone involved in their realization, whether their creator, creative or technological agency, in addition to the client himself. This includes communication and branding agencies, experience design firms, audiovisual consultants, designers and integrators, audiovisual technology manufacturers, among others.
