Mexico. Epson announced that the winner of the Mapping Challenge mexico edition contest is Dux Animation, a Mexican animation company, whose work was screened on August 18 and 19 in Coyoacán, an emblematic neighborhood of this city, in what was the first show of its initiative that will travel throughout Latin America.
The Temple of San Juan Bautista was the selected building and its façade intervened with an audiovisual artistic proposal inspired by the theme "Embroidery of Light, Stories of Coyoacán".
The creative team led by García Mino is composed of Ana Ballescá, Founding Partner and Executive Producer, Manuel González, Production, Mariano Ruiz, Lead animator, Bernardo Juarez, 3D Animator, Carolina Escartín, Illustrator, Omar Zuñiga, 3D Animator, Juan Montantes - Music and SFX, Rodrigo Ballescá - Illustration and Roberto Arocha, 2D Animator, dux animation. DUX is a Mexican animation studio, specialized in advertising and video mapping.
"In DUX Animation we are very happy and we are proud with the recognition, because we believe that it is not only for the studio, this first place in the first venue of the International Tour, of the mapping Challenge Latin America, but it puts up the name of Mexican talent and states that we are one of the best generating content internationally.", said Daniel García Mino, Founding Partner and Director of Animation and creative DUX Animation.
The theme chosen for this edition seeks to highlight the culture and art of the colony of the same name. Through images projected with seven Epson L25000U video projectors, the general public will be able to enjoy a story that exalts the rich pre-Hispanic tradition of Mexico City.
