Latin America. Christie presented two new models to its catalogue of high-performance 1DLP projectors. Conceived and manufactured to offer performance and reliability in intensive use environments, the new Christie GS Series projectors come with two options of brightness 9,000 and 10,600 ISO lumens and are especially suitable, among other spaces, for meeting rooms, classrooms, museums and places of worship.
"With a compact size and quiet operation, Christie's new GS Series projection solutions help the viewer focus their attention, without distractions, on the brightness and vividness of the projected images," said Joel St-Denis, Christie's Director of Product Management. "In multi-projection facilities, for example, small rooms dedicated to entertainment, worship spaces or themed attractions, their warping and blending functions save time and money."
The new models project with laser lighting, ensuring 20,000 hours of constant illumination up to 50% brightness, and a low operating cost, as they do not require changes of lamps or filters, with the consequent reduction of times and maintenance costs.
The new projectors of the GS Series come standard with Christie Twist tools for warping and blending, facilitating a fast and efficient alignment in multi-projections of irregular screens. In addition, Christie Mystique Lite, an optional camera-based alignment software that works with a very economical webcam, allows you to automatically stack and align in a matter of minutes up to three horizontal projectors on a screen or a flat surface, with considerable savings in time and labor. Mystique Lite can be downloaded at no additional cost, and can be updated to other levels of the Mystique software to perform warping, stacking or blending in large projection matrices on screens or surfaces of greater complexity.
The newly incorporated models provide content suitable for the intended use, including support for HD 3D content via sync in/out, picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture functions for video conferencing, and DICOM mode for medical imaging. For greater installation flexibility, the GS Series comes with DVI, HDMI, HDBaseT and 3GSDI inputs.
The new GS Series projectors are equipped with a complete set of motorized interchangeable lenses. The Christie DWU880-GS is available in white or black, and includes models in line with TAA legislation. The DWU1100-GS is available in black, and with a model also designed to meet TAA standards.
