Control4 automated audio and video at a new water park

The Cove at The Lakefront, Texas

United States. The newest indoor water park in Texas now features a wireless multi-zone audio, video and ad system, thanks to Control4, a provider of automation systems and networking for home and business needs.

The Cove at The Lakefront, located in front of Lake Lewisville, combines exciting water attractions with a retractable roof and high-tech audio-visual solutions, creating a unique atmosphere that sets it apart from similar offerings in the country. The audio and video of the entire enclosure are managed through a Control4 automation system, which allows, among other things, to automatically turn on and off all televisions and speakers, reducing preparation times prior to the opening of the space.

The system includes a giant 30-foot-wide DVLED display, located next to the surf pool, on which one or two transmissions can be projected at a time, from an application to which administrative staff have access. In the same way, it has a public address system, which includes microphones strategically located throughout the building, as well as a wireless unit, so that the communication of announcements is easy and accessible.

Simply put, Control4, Snap One's flagship brand, delivered a solution that allows The Cove to do surveillance work optimally, as well as track requirements before sending technicians, giving owners mastery over the operation of the facility, no matter where they are.

According to the integrator in charge of this project, Steve Withey, who is also president and CEO of Elite AV Innovations, the installed technology allows different television and music programs to be played on 18 video screens and 11 different audio zones. In addition, guests are offered private cabanas and party rooms with control of local content, without the need for direct access to the Control4 system, as they can do so from keyboards on the wall, remotely or with an HDMI cable. He also pointed out that this system allows park employees to have complete wireless control to improve the experience of their customers.

In conclusion, the implementation of automation with Control4, in addition to allowing the supervision of the place, gave an added value of comfort for visitors to the water park, facilitating the use of technology in the exclusive areas.
