New processing for Extron video wall is available

Extron

Latin America. Extron is already accepting orders for the Quantum Ultra II 610 and Quantum Ultra II 305, Extron's new generation of video wall processors that provide advanced connectivity and transfer rates.

18 Gbps HDMI connections on 4K input and output cards provide 4K/60 signals from a path and are HDCP 2.3 compliant. The HyperLane 8K-ready video bus supports more than 20 4K/60 sources. Audio embedded in HDMI from any source can be routed independently to one or more active canvases.

Features such as portrait and landscape output mode orientation, output overlay, edge compensation, and customizable output resolutions ensure compatibility with almost any display technology.

The Quantum Ultra II uses a modular architecture consisting of a chassis for cards, input cards and output cards that meet the requirements of any application. The Quantum Ultra II 610 is a 6U, 10-slot card chassis that supports any combination of input and output cards for I/O sizes up to 36x4, 4x36, or any size in between. On the other hand, the Quantum Ultra II 305 is a chassis for 3U cards and 5 slots for videowalls of small to medium size. They can support multiple video walls with different resolutions and screen orientations.

The Quantum IN4HDMI 4K PLUS input card accepts up to four single-route 4K/60 HDMI signals, and the Quantum IN4HDMI accepts one 4K/60, two 4K/30, or four 2K HDMI signals. Alternatively, the Quantum IN SMD 100 decodes up to four standard definition 1080p/60, eight 1080p/30 or 16 streams and supports MPEG-2, Motion JPEG and H.264 streams.

The OUT4HDMI 4K PLUS output card sends four HDMI signals up to 4K/60. On the other hand, the OUT4HDMI and OUT4DTP output cards transmit one to four outputs at resolutions from 1024x768 to 4K/60. The output on the OUT4DTP is selectable, offering DTP, XTP and HDBaseT twisted pair output modes to extend the signal up to 100 m (330 ft) in a wide variety of mission-critical environments.
