Digital signage suitable for today's needs

trip litte

Latin America. "In addition to providing commercial information, digital signage applications are taking on special relevance, after the pandemic, to generate more efficiency and prevent infections, in corporate, industrial and hospital," says Miguel Monterrosas, Director of Technical Support at Tripp Lite Mexico.

During the past year, Digital Signage applications in Latin America, including Mexico, ranked sixth in revenue in the AV audiovisual industry, with a growth of 10% per year, higher than the 4.56% increase of the average increase of the AV industry in the world, according to The Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, AVIXA.

With the hybrid work scheme, digital signage will increasingly be used in corporate offices as a system to reserve rooms and flexible work desks "Hot desking", in factories or the food industry, to provide real-time information regarding work and safety processes; in hospitals so that medical staff count through small screens, with the clinical history, staff schedules, among more information of material resources (ambulances, offices, laboratories).

It should be noted that each company or industry requires a specific digital signage solution, depending on the space of the facilities, the quality of images and sound they require and for this they can implement:

- Publicidad -

- Video signal extenders to transmit the content of the video source, be it a computer or blue ray, to the screens or projectors.

- Video repeaters designed to daisy chain to multiply the distance regarding the transmission of the video source to the monitors and / or to connect more screens simultaneously.

- Video splitter that allows to transmit the digital signal of a high definition player to several screens.

- Switch splitter to share one or more video sources between multiple screens or monitors.

- Multi-Stream Transport hubs to transmit the signal in mirror mode to create video walls.

- Cat5e or Cat6a network cable made of 100% copper material to prevent electromagnetic interference or multimode or single-mode fiber optic cables to link two distant network points located in very large spaces.

-•UPS system to provide safe power and backup through battery banks, to digital signage facilities, as commercial and industrial areas usually receive an irregular and unstable power supply.

- Publicidad -

- Mounting brackets for screens, whether fixed, double or triple, rotating and tilting, to install screens of any size, with wheels, as well as models that provide security to install them in public areas.
