ISE 2022 is postponed from February to May due to Covid

ise 2022

International. After consulting with the ISE exhibitor and visitor community and in light of the growing impact of the Omicron variant in Spain, Integrated Systems Events announces that ISE 2022, scheduled for 1 to 4 February, has been postponed and will now take place from 10 to 13 May 2022 at Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía.

Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Events, said: We have been closely monitoring conditions in Europe and have been working your behalf to balance health and safety concerns with the need for in-person commerce and interaction. It's been a challenging time for many over the past two years, and while we can't wait to meet everyone at ISE 2022, hear from our exhibitors, owners and stakeholders, we've agreed that the best course of action is to postpone the show by three months."

He added that "By moving the event into the spring, it provides time for our community to rebalance and for confidence in international travel and meetings to resume. We will work closely with all our exhibitors and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the new dates. We look forward to welcoming the global AV community at ISE 2022 in May at our new home in Barcelona."

David Labuskes, CEO of AVIXA, commented: "While balancing engagement with trade and harvesting has been difficult in these uncertain times, we believe the postponement of the ISE trade show until May achieves just that. Our community looks forward to the opportunity to reunite in 2022. This calendar makes it even more possible for all of us. Starting with ISE, we look forward to the SUMMER of AV, where we will have the opportunity to meet at InfoComm in June and InfoComm Beijing in July; it couldn't be a better way to bring together and reinforce the opportunities and success of our industry."

Daryl Friedman, CEO of CEDIA, added: "We want to make sure is ISE 2022 is a huge success for both visitors and exhibitors, as it has been for nearly two decades, and that starts by bringing together as many of our community as possible. We know that the entire home technology industry is excited to meet in person, and we are confident that this shift to May will ensure the most vibrant return for all participants. We can't wait to connect with all of you in Barcelona this spring."
