Elation launched its new Proteus Excalibur solution

Proteus Excalibur elation

Latin America. Elation Professional's Proteus Excalibur is an incredibly powerful IP65 beam moving head device that takes on the role of the lighting industry's new twenty-first century reflector.

The newest member of the Proteus range makes it possible to create columns of aerial light, sweep beams, CMY color projections and prismatic/air effects that rival existing xenon projectors, thanks to its long-range beam and wide front aperture.

Capable of creating effects as magical as its legendary namesake, the Proteus Excalibur is ideal for theme parks, cruises, special outdoor events, large-scale shows and concerts, or any situation where there is a massive beam or very powerful flower and prism effects required.

Excalibur is the brightest full-featured IP65 beam device ever created, producing up to 200,000 lux at 20 meters (7500 lux at 100 meters), an incredible light output from a surprisingly compact and fast body.

Design options
A wide range of gobos (8 interchangeable plus a 17-position static wheel) and prism overlays (4 and 8 faces) allow for a variety of dynamic sky animations that add excitement and draw attention to any event. The upcoming integrated sky animation system allows Excalibur to operate impressive air shows without the need for an external DMX controller.

Excalibur offers a full CMY color mix plus 14 dichroic colors, including CTO and UV. With their incredible light intensity, all CMY colors remain strong and vibrant, even when they are completely saturated.

Beam control via a precise internal focus lens provides sharp projection without optical errors. Dual variable frosts allow the beam to be softened when needed and a remote-controlled expander lens widens the beam to about 3.5 degrees for an even more complete appearance.

Excalibur supports DMX, RDM, Art-NET and sACN protocols and is naturally equipped with all the professional features and IP65 connections that designers expect from a Proteus luminaire.
