IHSE acquires kvm-tec

IHSE

International. IHSE announced the acquisition of IT security specialist kvm-tec. Founded in 2006, kvm-tec develops and distributes flexible, high-security KVM over IP (KVMoIP) solutions to extend and change computer signals. The company enables the transmission of high-performance signals with reduced latency over the standard IP protocol on existing networks.

IHSE's patented, specialized IT security KVM solutions are particularly used in mission-critical applications such as air traffic control, control rooms, and in the utilities and transportation sectors.

KVM solutions over the standard IP protocol are increasingly being implemented in industrial, broadcast, post-production and public sector applications as the most flexible and lowest-cost solution that can be deployed faster.

With the acquisition of kvm-tec, IHSE accesses a worldwide KVMoIP customer base that will benefit from IHSE's international distribution network in the future, with offices in Germany, USA, Singapore and China. In addition to the joint sales forces, the management of IHSE and kvm-tec sees greater potential for synergy in purchasing and production.

Ing Dietmar Pfurtscheller, founder and CEO of kvm-tec, will remain with the company after the transaction is completed, along with his wife, Ingrid Pfurtscheller MSc, head of sales and marketing. They will drive growth together with the IHSE team. Kvm-tec is headquartered in Tattendorf, Austria, and currently has 28 employees.
