Latin America. Atlona has expanded the range of deployment options for its VELOCITy IP-based AV control platform with the launch of the all-in-one AT-VTPG-1000VL. The new device combines a 10-inch touchpad with an integrated Velocity gateway, simplifying installations that require control of a single room or AV system.
"While our second-generation Velocity architecture delivers exceptional efficiency by supporting multi-room deployments through a hardware or software gateway, single-room AV applications can take advantage of an even more streamlined approach," said David Shamir, vice president of product management at Atlona. "The VTPG-1000VL offers an all-in-one alternative for AV control in individual rooms, reducing components and simplifying configuration in discreet meeting and education spaces, divisible rooms, and hospitality or sales spaces."
The VTPG-1000VL's 1000VL's 10" capacitive touch surface has a local resolution of 1280x800 and provides a large graphical user interface area for easy handling of sophisticated control applications. Contemporary and refined styling complements any modern AV environment, while bright LED lighting surrounding the panel's outer frame emphasizes AV control functions or visibility of the room's programming status.
The new touchpad's built-in Velocity gateway supports AV system control in a room with up to 24 devices and two programming panels. This eliminates the need for additional control processors and the space to support them. Intuitive browser-based setup allows for quick and easy setup, guiding users through adding AV equipment to the room, selecting or customizing user interfaces, and specifying control macros.
Velocity's IP-based architecture reduces components and simplifies cabling by controlling multiple AV devices over the VTPG-1000VL's Ethernet connection. For AV devices that do not support IP control, Atlona's VCC line of IP command converters offers support for RS-232, IR, and relay/sensor control signals. Remote power over Power over Ethernet (PoE) further simplifies cabling by leveraging a single network cable for data and power.
The VTPG-1000VL is available in white or black versions and includes a dual-function glass and wall mount, compatible with single-panel openings for the US, UK and EU. The optional AT-VTP-VTM table kit allows for independent placement on meeting tables or lecterns, while a VESA 75 standard mounting hole pattern provides compatibility with third-party mounts.
