Latin America. "Excuse me, I was trying to find the mute button" is a phrase you hear all too often in meetings, when users aren't sure if the mute button is on the screen or on the microphone.
To resolve this constant frustration, Shure introduces its latest product, Microflex A400MB, a touch-sensitive mute button accessory that offers convenient functionality to mute audio from Microflex MX395-LED low-profile surface microphones and MX405, MX410 and MX415 modular gooseneck microphones. This new Shure accessory guarantees meeting participants secure audio control, with easy and intuitive operation.
The A400MB is installed as a washer between the microphone body and the surface of the table, or podium, and hides the circuits under the surface. The mute function is easily programmed with built-in switches for full flexibility and can be set to momentary (press to speak or press to mute) or switched (press to on, press to off). The A400MB's mute button includes local mode and remote mode, making it easy for users to focus on what matters most to them.

The new A400MB mute button can be easily customized for use in a variety of room configurations. If the A400MB's mute buttons are installed with multiple microphones on a table, pressing any button can mute all microphones simultaneously, and all LEDDs on the microphones can also change color to show that outgoing audio has been muted.
When used with Shure's ANI4IN-BLOCK or ANI22-BLOCK audio network interfaces and the IntelliMix® P300 audio conferencing processor, the mute function and LED are synchronized to simultaneously mute them with the Microsoft Teams and Zoom video conferencing platforms. This means that the user's mute status is instantly visible to all meeting participants, whether they are in the same room or joining from thousands of miles away.
The A400MB mute button accessory adds attractive and convenient mute capability to Microflex low-profile surface microphones and modular gooseneck microphones. It can be included in new projects or added to existing facilities.
