Atlona Announced Wireless Presentation Platform

atlonaLatin America. Atlona continues to innovate at the forefront of BYOD trends for audio and video with the launch of the AT-WAVE-101 wireless presentation and collaboration platform. Designed to easily share content from iOS, Android, Mac, Chromebook and Windows, the WAVE-101 is now available and allows you to display content from up to four presenters simultaneously, on a single screen with dynamically adaptive settings.

"The built-in wireless capabilities that allow you to use your own mobile devices (BYOD) of our AT-UHD-SW-510W and AT-OME-MS52W arrays have been very popular with our customers, but we've also seen a growing demand for a standalone wireless device to use on its own or as part of a system with different audio and video needs, "We've also seen a growing demand for a standalone wireless device to use on its own or as part of a system with different audio and video needs," commented David Shamir, Vice President of Product Management at Atlona. "The WAVE-101 leverages our extensive experience in BYOD solutions and feedback from our customers to meet that demand, along with several unique and powerful features, a very competitive price."

The WAVE-101 directly supports all popular native wireless protocols for mobile devices, including AirPlay, Google Cast, and Miracast. This provides exceptional convenience for ad hoc presentations without the need for pre-configuration, while content encryption and randomly generated PIN codes (displayed on the WAVE-101's welcome screen) ensure secure wireless content sharing. The WAVE-101 offers easy hands-free operation, features its Dynamic Layout mode (patent pending) which supports up to 4 participants and adapts the screen layout automatically every time a new source is connected, a presenter disconnects from the system, or a connected mobile device switches from portrait mode to panoramic orientation.

The WAVE-101 is designed for use in classrooms, boardroom spaces and other collaborative environments, and is equally capable on its own or as part of a comprehensive audio and video solution. The compact device can be installed discreetly next to a screen to share content easily and instantly; or it can be used in conjunction with a video matrix to enhance new or existing audiovisual systems with wireless connectivity for multiple participants with own devices.

While ideal for a wide range of presentation and collaboration purposes, the WAVE-101 offers value-added features specifically designed to enhance learning experiences in educational environments. Accessible from the WAVE-101's intuitive web interface, Instructor Mode enables easy management and moderation of multiple active and queued student presenters, plus sessions can be streamed live on YouTube for remote learning, while the integration of playback of locally stored images, media files (up to 4K at 60 FPS) and YouTube content allow for easy incorporation of supplemental educational materials.

The WAVE-101 has a configurable firewall and supports industry-standard network security features and protocols, including WPA2-PSK and AES-128 encryption. The device's built-in Wi-Fi access point can also be protected by the LAN firewall of the end-user installation if you want to configure this for security. Multiple networked WAVE-101 devices can be configured, monitored and managed with the free Atlona Management System (AMS) software, which is part of Atlona's Velocity™ System audio and video management and control platform. Convenient additional integration features include IP programmable display control, support for URL-based digital signage/signage platforms as video input, and AES67 network audio interface for audio integration into IP systems.

The WAVE-101 is now available and is protected by a three-year limited product warranty.
