BenQ launched laser projector for golf simulation

benq, proyectores, Latin America. BenQ presented the projector of its BlueCore Laser DLP line created for commercial and domestic golf simulators. The lu935ST short-range 5,500 lumens WUXGA laser projector features 92% Rec.709 color coverage for realistic golf course images, 20,000 hours of maintenance-free use, and robust features for easy and flexible installation.

"The golf simulation market has grown dramatically as golfers look for ways to keep their swing in top shape when they can't get to the course," said Bob Wudeck, senior director of business development at BenQ America Corp.

He added that "While the TECHNOLOGY-based LCD lamp projectors have been used in old golf simulation kits, the lamps are going up in price, have a shorter lifespan, pose a mercury risk, require filter cleaning, and usually do not provide color accuracy specifications. The LU935ST is the first laser projector that is designed for golf simulation. It features an immersive, realistic image that lights up instantly, is easy to install and maintenance-free, thanks to its dustproof, filter-free design."

Perfect your swing with realistic colors
A good golf stroke demands concentration, which can be lost in golf simulation if the picture is not realistic. BenQ's LU935ST provides an immersive image at an unbeatable price. It offers amazing accuracy and color realism using the same 92% Rec. 709 color space coverage like BenQ's premium BenQ 4K UHD LK953ST laser projector.

Leveraging Texas Instruments' DLP chip technology that digital cinemas rely on and producing award-winning image quality, the LU935ST's image has a power of 2.3 million pixels and a contrast of 3,000,000:1. The result is more realistic and detailed golf courses that never yellow over time. BenQ, a long-time leader in eSports, uses the same monitor technology that helps gamers gain a competitive advantage, including improved graphics and instant, lag-free response to shooting.

Easy to install in any room
There are likely to be a few options when choosing where to place a golf simulator. It can be in the garage, in a home theater system, or on an unused wall of a home or business. BenQ's LU935ST makes the most of any space with easy-to-install features. The short-range optical zoom provides a range of .81-.89 without the expense of optional lenses and allows the projector to be safely mounted outside the impact area without the player casting a shadow on the screen.

In spaces where the projector will need to be mounted farther away, it includes shrinkage and digital compensation to ensure a sharp edge-to-edge image that fills the screen. Finally, for greater installation flexibility without affecting the image, the LU935ST includes lens shift and other fine-tuning installation tools, including horizontal and vertical keystone correction, corner adjustment, multiple HDMI inputs, and audio and networking I/O. Together, these features ensure a great golf experience and allow users to build a system that can function like an impressive home theater.

The definition of maintenance-free
BenQ's Blue Core laser eliminates the hassle and cost of installing replacement lamps while providing a 20,000-hour service life with consistent color performance. LU935ST users can start playing right away without waiting for a lamp to heat up or without the risk of it breaking if not cooled properly. In addition, the LU935ST's IP5X-certified sealed motor eliminates the filters and the need for regular cleaning that is necessary in other popular projectors sold today. If installed in a dust-prone environment, such as a garage or basement, the dustproof design ensures that nothing compromises its performance.

The LU935ST laser projector is now available on many simulation resellers and BenQ.com. BenQ's trained staff is ready to provide golfers with the tools needed to find the best fit for their setups.
