Stampede changes name, now it's Exertis

stamped. exertisLatin America. Stampede announced that its operations in the United States, Canada and Latin America are changing its name to Exertis, aligning with other DCC Technology-owned companies around the world.

According to President and CEO Kevin Kelly, in the future, the newly renamed company, starting with Exertis ProAV, will operate a number of specialized Exertis brands focused on the ProAV and Mobile Living channels.

"This is the beginning of a well-thought-out and funded strategy to reshape the twenty-first century supply and distribution chain management landscape in ways that create significant new value for our manufacturing and reseller partners," Kelly said today.

According to Clive Fitzharris, Managing Director of Exertis International, "Today marks the completion of a global strategy to align all our businesses under the Exertis brand. Stampede is now aligned on behalf with the rest of our businesses around the world. As such, Exertis is now the brand of the future when it comes to distributing specialized value-added technology and supporting the supply chain wherever our customers do business anywhere in the world."

According to Kelly, wide-line generalist distributors are a thing of the past and value-added distribution is evolving into specialty distribution, with a greater emphasis on dedicated sales teams organized to drive sales growth for supplier partners in key specialty markets, starting with ProAV and Mobile Life.

"Each of these markets has unique business requirements that only Exertis will be able to meet, locally and globally, by providing specific products and solutions tailored to each specialized market," Kelly emphasized. "This move ushers in an exciting new era in specialist-focused value-added distribution on a global scale, an era built on specialists who are laser-focused in specific ProAV and Mobile Living categories, in addition to ongoing businesses in drones, retail, and soon games and enterprises."

Kelly stressed that, for suppliers, this means faster and greater reach to all markets in the world. For resellers it means access to brands, products, programs and support on an unparalleled scale. For customers, it means best-in-class solutions across all categories, integrated into a seamless solution that works for them in their market segment.

"The Pro AV industry has grown exponentially across all verticals over the past ten years and despite the challenges posed by the current Covid pandemic, the industry will continue to grow again in 2021, driven by an insatiable human need to connect and collaborate through the technologies, products and solutions that our manufacturing partners create every day." Kelly concluded. "Now, Exertis' vast financial resources and logistics capabilities will enable our partners to reach more customers, more efficiently and cost-effectively than ever before. Extraordinary things are going to come out of this!"
