Christie released version 6.5 of pandoras box software

pandoras box, christieLatin America. Christie introduced version 6.5 of its multi-award-winning Christie Pandoras Box media server. Version 6.5 comes with a large number of additional advantages for integrators and end users, among which a new and powerful rendering engine that ensures an improvement in the performance of this tool.

Now with the ability to simultaneously manage more video files or higher resolutions, avoiding, in addition, the annoying effect of color banding. The 10-bit depth of color reproduction reaches the Rec.2020 color gamut in HDR and 4K resolution applications, retaining the full color palette (4:4:4) without chrominance subsampling for better image quality.

Markus Zeppenfeld, Christie's Product Manager, said: "Delivering distortion-free 10-bit images at 240fps elevates solutions to an unprecedented level of quality. It is amazing to see that chromatic perfection projected on the screen or on an LED video wall. The direct use of DPX streams in Pandoras Box makes the job easier, as it does not require additional coding. The colors remain perfect and lossless, user intervention is reduced to a minimum and the quality of reproduction is maximum."

Pandoras Box is a family of hardware and software tools for real-time processing and playback of stereoscopic, 3D and high-speed image speed video. With 3D compositing, warping, rendering and interactive capabilities of great precision and power, the visuals are seamlessly integrated into live events, uneven or irregular exterior structures or LED videowalls or other types of displays.

And with accessories such as AirScan multi-touch infrared laser sensor, motion control can be incorporated through user interfaces to generate an interactive multimedia display. For example, combined with the interactive application Christie Widget Designer, AirScan allows interaction between activated digital content without manual contact with a display located a few meters from the user.

Christie is the only manufacturer to offer integrators, consultants, vendors and end users complete source-to-display solutions. Whether in simple displays, or in more complex multidisplays, the Pandoras Box family of multimedia servers integrates harmoniously with Christie Spyder X80, Christie Terra, Christie RGB projectors and Christie MicroTiles LED, with the full confidence of projection and content designers and rental entrepreneurs from all over the world, such as the Xpark Aquarium in Taipei, the National Opera in Amsterdam, Gyeongnam Masan Robot Land in South Korea, the centenary of Lufthansa or the FIBA Basketball World Cup.
