Alboa installs 85 Christie laser projectors in Mexico

alboa, christieMexico. The Mexican entertainment chain Alboa, belonging to the Cinemex Group, has installed 85 laser projectors of Christie 1DLP technology in the 13 complexes it has in different parts of the Aztec country. The operation has been in charge of the integrator T&T Cinema.

Alboa Entertainment Hall is an entertainment concept that integrates bowling, pool tables, sports bar, gastronomy, mixology, event spaces and stages for live shows from 50 to 1,000 people. It has 13 spaces throughout the country equipped with 175 bowling alleys, and plans to open another seven new centers in the coming months.

For Alboa, audiovisual media has always been a first-rate resource to enrich its complexes and provide unique experiences to its customers. The chain had Christie lamp projectors and some time ago decided to migrate to laser projection technology to offer a leap in quality to its audience, reduce costs and increase its efficiency.

"In addition to laser projection improving image quality, having a life time of 20,000 hours means that your operation and maintenance costs are considerably reduced, by not spending on consumables such as lamps and filters," explains Fernando Poblador, Infrastructure Manager at Alboa.

Poblador also highlights the possibilities offered by projection compared to other display technologies such as LED: "The truth is that projection gives you the flexibility to have a quality image in any space," he says.

Alboa's Infrastructure Manager also highlights his confidence in Christie as a reference supplier: "At Alboa we always seek to make alliances with leading companies in its field, and Christie, being one of the most important companies in projection, has always offered us the right solution for each project".

Alboa has installed different models of the Christie GS Series, from 5600 to 13,000 lumens and in resolutions from HD to WUXGA, with the Christie DWU630-GS model being the standard in most of its centers. The GS Series incorporates Christie BoldColor technology that significantly improves performance and color saturation.

On average, each Alboa center uses five projectors to display sports, music and entertainment content. The equipment is installed in the areas of the bowling lanes, and projects in all cases on a screen with gain 1.8 of a single canvas. All Alboas have a video matrix that distributes the image.
Fernando Poblador does not want to fail to highlight the service provided by Christie: "For Alboa, the after-sales is the most important thing and we have always had the support and support of Christie Mexico, achieving a close and long-term relationship".

For Clayton Brito, director of Christie's Enterprise division in Latin America, this operation represents another step in the long relationship between Christie and the Cinemex Group: "We could not be happier for the lasting trust placed in us by Alboa and the Cinemex Group. Alboa resorts throughout Mexico are known for providing the best entertainment experience to their customers. And we're thrilled with the incredible way they've been able to use our projectors to enrich their centers with rich, impactful visuals."
