Anixter finalizes merger with Wesco

Latin America. The Anixter company announced that the Wesco-Anixter merger is complete. This transformative combination brings together the best of both companies to provide more solutions for their customers and stronger partnerships for suppliers.

"By combining two industry leaders with a successful track record, we are creating the world's leading electricity, communications and utility distribution and supply solutions company. We will have an expanded global footprint, best-in-class service offerings and a greater support network," said John J. Engel, Chairman, President and CEO of Wesco.

He added, "By doubling in size and with more than 18,000 employees serving customers in more than 50 countries around the world, you can rely on our talented and dedicated professionals to better serve you while providing you with a broader and more diverse portfolio of products, services and solutions. Wesco's capabilities in industry, construction, and utilities, along with Anixter's expertise in communications, security, and wire and cable, will strengthen our overall customer value proposition and supplier relationships.

John J. Engel stressed that now his supplier partners can rely on the following:

- Publicidad -

* Increased value, reach and relevance to customers with combined financial resources, industry expertise, supply chain management and global service capabilities.
* An expanded range of customer-oriented technical support resources and capabilities. Our ability to provide broad and deep technical support to position and sell your products and solutions more effectively has been significantly strengthened due to the combination of WESCO and Anixter. Sales resources will be a key growth driver for our supplier partners.
* A new centralized marketing approach that enables cross-selling of your approved products and solutions to all customers, not just those in a specific business unit.
* Two experienced teams of IT and digital professionals will connect your company's products and solutions with our shared customers. We will execute a roadmap to develop exciting new digital capabilities, and contact you for feedback in that process.
* Leverage the best of our current joint offerings and make better use to accelerate our growth together. Our goal is to be your #1 channel in the market.
* Continue to rely on your current contacts within each company as you did before this announcement. Even though we are now a company, it is the same as Wesco and Anixter for the near future: the same contacts, emails, tax ID, etc. * We are committed to investing in our relationship with you while continuing to provide superior service and exceed your expectations.
