Christie advances MicroTiles LED with new features

Latin America. The innovative spirit of Christie's MicroTiles LED takes a new step with the launch of Active 3D, which will have its rigorous premiere at ISE 2020. Visitors to Christie stand 1-H70 will see first-hand the new features of the Christie MicroTiles LED 1.25mm mosaics.

The new Active 3D solution for MicroTiles LED generates a solid, fully flicker-free 3D experience. Using blind-type 3D glasses, the user can now contemplate 3D content at 120Hz (60Hz per eye) with a pixel pitch of 1.25mm. Combined with the high brightness of MicroTiles and the chromatic quality for cinema P3, Christie MicroTiles LED Active 3D offers a full and uncompromising 3D experience.

With Active 3D, Christie MicroTiles LED displays 4K UHD content at 120 images per second and brightness of 1000 nits, through a Christie Link E1000-3D videowall controller. Christie MicroTiles LED Active 3D is designed for users in the aerospace and automotive industries, military simulation and theme parks, among others, who demand optimal 3D visualization. With the integrated SDVoE Christie Terra technology and the design flexibility of Christie MicroTiles LED, the display is adaptable to adapt to a large number of spaces: from CAVE and digital signage environments to control rooms.

"With the addition of 3D features to Christie's MicroTiles LED, we have further reinforced an already revolutionary product. We were aware of the need for a 3D visualization and design experience that would ensure the total absence of flicker and not compromise the power and quality of brightness and color. MicroTiles LED ensures stereoscopic images with a color depth of up to 12 bits, 120 frames per second and 4:4:4 chrominance subsampling in P3 cinematic color. With MicroTiles LED Active 3D we announce that our customers will benefit from enhanced innovation through collaborative design," said Ted Romanowitz, Senior Product Manager at Christie.
