Sennheiser released wireless microphone for guitarists

Latin America. Sennheiser's new XSW-D pedalboard set is now available and completes audio specialist's new XS Wireless Digital series. The set provides an entry-level wireless system ideal for guitarists and bassists.

Like all XSW-D sets, it works at 2.4 GHz for worldwide operation, unlicensed operation and in addition, it comes complete with a transmitter, a pedal-style receiver with guitar tuning function, instrument cable, strap clip, as well as power and charging accessories.

"The pedalboard set perfectly completes our XS Wireless Digital series, providing an ideal and practical solution for first-time wireless users," said Tobias von Allwörden, Head of A/V Portfolio Management. "It's a perfect choice for guitarists and bassists who want to integrate a wireless solution into their pedalboard."

An instant connection
The XSW-D transmitter connects directly to the instrument. For those who find that the transmitter gets in the way of their playing style, or when the shape of the guitar – or bass – does not allow direct connection, the transmitter can be connected with the instrument cable that comes included and can be used with the clip for the strap. The receiver, which is also equipped with a guitar tuning function, can be accommodated and operated from the set pedalboard. Alternatively, it can be powered by the included source unit.

Once the receiver is turned on, it will automatically search for the transmitter. With a short press of the button on the transmitter, the two will be connected and the artist ready for the concert.

Tuning into great sound
By pressing the receiver's foot or pedal switch, the audio stream can be muted and the instrument tuner activated. Thanks to the clear white-on-black lettering that is very easy to read, the screen is visible even in dim lighting environments. When tuning is complete, simply press the foot or pedal switch again to reactivate the audio.

Pressing the pedal switch activates the guitar tuner (or bass)
The transmitter has a battery life of around 5 hours, and can be simply recharged from the receiver by feeding during breaks in use.
The receiver is equipped with a balanced XLR audio output and an unbalanced output jack for connection to the amplifier or mixer. Up to five XSW-D systems can be used at the same time, and colored labels, stickers or stickers are included for easy identification.

The XSW-D pedalboard set is now available and comes complete with an instrument transmitter (6.3mm [1/4] jack), a pedal receiver, strap clip, instrument cable (6.3mm [1/4] jack), charging cable (USB-A to USC-C), colored identification labels and a receiver power supply.
