Christie launched first 4K pure RGB laser projector with HDR

Latin America. With the launch of Eclipse, a 4K pure RGB laser projector aimed at the Pro-AV market, equipped with Christie RealLaser lighting, real HDR (high dynamic range) and an unprecedented and incomparable color gamut, Christie continues to push the boundaries of projection technology.

Images projected with Christie Eclipse achieve a level of detail and color depth that no Pro-AV projection system has managed to match. Thanks to its true HDR, Christie Eclipse processes and plays HDR content on the screen in 4K resolution and with high and low brightness levels. The result is a contrast ratio of up to 20,000,000:1, which makes the most insignificant details visible, even in extreme black and white ranges.

With an increasing color gamut, which is already close to 100% of the Rec.2020 and Rec.2100 color spaces, the Christie Eclipse produces very saturated colors that allow fully immersive experiences and multiplies by one hundred the 200,000:1 contrast ratio of the 2100 recommendation. With Christie RealLaser lighting, 4K resolution and a capacity for HFR (high frame rate) that reaches 120fps, the Christie Eclipse guarantees the projection without shocks of dynamic content, and without blurring that distract attention, something fundamental for planetariums, giant screens or horror attractions or flying theatres in theme parks.

The Christie Eclipse offers flexibility to adapt the brightness to the environment, with levels ranging from 2000 lumens to 30,000 and features Christie TruLife electronics for 4K resolution at 120Hz and Christie Twist software for warping and blending. It also offers the Christie Terra input card option, to ensure more efficient AV integration and connectivity solutions for Christie projectors with TruLife electronics. It can also be connected directly to a Christie Terra SDVoE system.

Christie Eclipse is also compatible with Christie Mystique, an automated, camera-based warping and blending tool that facilitates the deployment and maintenance of multi-projection arrays.
